A set of five Venetian glass apothecary jars, c. 1850
An unusual set of five Venetian glass apothecary jars, the body showing the arms of Doge Mocenigo family, two gilded glass lion heads on the sides, the lids with coloured glass fruit (lemon, banana, pear and apple). Each numbered. Probably made for an apothecary shop in a Mocenigo palace in Venice. Circa 1850. Some rubbing to the decoration.
