A French Paris porcelain column with a fine neoclassical decor painted in gold on a dark blue background ,the porcelain square base painted in grey faux marble, surmounted with a biscuit statuette of Napoleon I the arms crossed on his chest, the Legion of Honour on his side, standing near a square base.A few small restorations to the base of the column and to the biscuit.
French Empire work circa 1810 - 1815 , the statue of Napoleon in biscuit maybe added when his ashes were brought back from St Helena in 1840 .
Height 66 cm ( 26 inches) x width 13,5 cm ( 5 1/4 inches) x depth 13,8 cm ( 5 1/2 inches)
